EticaAG has appointed John Dohm as Chief Operating Officer to lead U.S. manufacturing expansion and operational strategy. Dohm brings deep expertise in energy systems and high-volume production to support the company’s growth in fire-safe battery storage.

Scaling a Safer Future: Aligning Strategy, Supply Chain, and Execution

EticaAG, a provider of non-flammable lithium battery energy storage systems (BESS), has named John Dohm as Chief Operating Officer. Dohm will oversee manufacturing scale-up, operational strategy, and process optimization as the company expands its market presence across the utility, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

Dohm brings over two decades of experience leading high-growth companies and implementing large-scale manufacturing systems. His background spans energy systems integration, high-voltage electrical equipment, and operational leadership in both startup and enterprise environments. At Southern California Edison and CAISO, he supported grid modernization efforts, while his private-sector roles focused on building automation-driven production lines to improve throughput and reliability.

At EticaAG, Dohm will lead the buildout of U.S.-based production and apply automation and process engineering to support the company’s commitment to safety, reliability, and performance.

“John brings the rare ability to align strategy with execution at scale,” said Matthew Ward, President of EticaAG. “His expertise in grid operations and high-volume manufacturing will be critical as we expand access to our fire-safe energy storage platforms across more project sites and markets.”

Dohm holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a master’s in computer science from Loyola University Chicago. His prior leadership roles include positions at Light Field Lab, Sixgill, RealD, and Deloitte, where he managed teams, technologies, and budgets of up to $200 million.

“EticaAG is solving one of the most urgent problems in energy storage—safety,” said John Dohm. “What drew me here is the technical depth of the team and their focus on engineering excellence. I’m looking forward to building the operational engine that enables faster, safer deployments at scale.”

Scaling Safe, Reliable Energy Storage

About EticaAG

EticaAG manufactures non-flammable lithium battery energy storage systems for a safer, more resilient energy future.

At the core of every system is our patented LiquidShield Immersion Technology, which fully submerges each battery cell in a non-toxic, fire-retardant liquid—eliminating fire propagation risk, even under thermal runaway conditions. Designed for safety, resilience, and long-term reliability, EticaAG’s energy storage systems are built to meet the highest standards for mission-critical applications.

Paired with our in-house Battery Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS), EticaAG delivers high-performance, dependable storage for safety-critical environments.

When safety matters, EticaAG is the trusted choice for fire-safe battery energy storage.

The Solar ITC Safe Harbor Deadline Passed. Now What?

The solar ITC safe harbor deadline changed the economics for many solar projects, but it did not end the business case for clean energy investment. Battery storage may still qualify for federal tax credit support, while solar + storage can preserve project value through demand management, load shifting, resilience, and safer long-term performance.
