EticaAG Joins NY-BEST to Support Safer, Smarter Energy Storage in New York

EticaAG, a leader in non-flammable lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (BESS), announced today that it has officially joined the New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium (NY-BEST), reinforcing its commitment to accelerating clean energy adoption and safety across New York State.

EticaAG is pioneering a safer path forward for energy storage with its proprietary immersion cooling technology. Unlike conventional systems, EticaAG’s solutions eliminate fire propagation risk, even under thermal runaway conditions, making them uniquely suited for densely populated or high-risk areas where fire safety is a top priority.

“New York has some of the most ambitious clean energy goals in the country, and safe, resilient energy storage is critical to achieving them,” said Pablo Barrague, VP of Partnerships and Commercial Development at EticaAG. “We’re proud to join NY-BEST and collaborate with industry, government, and academic partners to help make reliable, fire-safe storage a reality across the state.”

NY-BEST is a nationally recognized nonprofit consortium dedicated to advancing energy storage in New York. Through policy engagement, innovation support, and market development, NY-BEST plays a vital role in building a cleaner, more resilient electric grid.

EticaAG’s membership in NY-BEST comes as the company expands its presence in the Northeast, supporting utilities, developers, and municipalities in deploying next-generation storage solutions that meet rigorous safety and permitting requirements.

K3-Class Fluids Change the Fire Safety Equation in Battery Energy Storage

K3-class dielectric fluids carry the highest fire-safety classification under IEC 61100, with a minimum fire point of 300°C. In battery energy storage systems, these high fire-point fluids support safer immersion cooling by resisting sustained combustion, reducing propagation risk, and improving the safety case for permitting, insurance, and deployment.
