EticaAG has appointed Pablo Barrague as Vice President of Partnerships and Commercial Development. With deep experience in global energy storage markets, Barrague will lead strategic partnerships and commercial expansion to support the company’s fire-safe battery systems for critical infrastructure, utilities, and commercial customers.

Driving Growth Through Strategic Partnerships and Market Insight

EticaAG, a provider of non-flammable lithium battery energy storage systems (BESS), has appointed Pablo Barrague as Vice President of Partnerships and Commercial Development. In this role, he will oversee partner engagement, customer development, and commercial strategy as EticaAG expands the market presence of its non-flammable storage technology.

Barrague brings more than ten years of leadership in the global energy storage sector. He was part of the founding team at Fluence, where he served in senior roles across Market Development and Product Management. There, he helped launch grid-scale projects in multiple regions and played a key role in shaping the company’s product roadmap—experience that aligns closely with EticaAG’s current phase of commercialization.

Prior to joining EticaAG, Barrague led energy storage strategy for MEI, a commercial and industrial BESS asset owner, gaining hands-on experience as a customer. This dual perspective—both as a solution provider and buyer—gives him unique insight into market demands and partner expectations. He also contributes to industry education as a guest lecturer on energy storage topics at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Virginia.

“Pablo brings a rare mix of technical understanding, strategic focus, and commercial leadership,” said Matthew Ward, President of EticaAG. “His global experience and ability to scale partnerships will be essential as we grow our presence in mission-critical energy markets.”

“EticaAG is redefining what safe energy storage looks like,” said Pablo Barrague. “I’m excited to help expand access to a technology that directly addresses the fire risk challenges so many projects face today.”

Barrague plays a central role in translating EticaAG’s patented immersion-cooled LFP technology into commercial traction. His focus will include early customer engagement, strategic partner development, and long-term revenue growth. He holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

About EticaAG

EticaAG designs and manufactures non-flammable lithium battery energy storage systems for critical applications. Each system is built around the company’s patented LiquidShield™ Immersion Technology, which fully submerges each battery cell in a non-toxic, fire-retardant liquid. This eliminates fire propagation risk, even under thermal runaway conditions.

In addition to unmatched fire prevention, LiquidShield delivers superior thermal management that eliminates hotspots, cools cells more efficiently, and significantly reduces battery stress. The result is longer battery life, reduced degradation, and enhanced system reliability.

When safety matters, EticaAG is the trusted choice for fire-safe battery energy storage.
